Our group was formed in the mid 1980’s under the umbrella of Guelph Services for the Physically Disabled. Over the years, it evolved through a period of leadership from a group of dedicated volunteers, to affiliation with the Stroke Recovery Association of Ontario, March of Dimes in 1994. We are now a chapter of Stroke Recovery Canada®, a March of Dimes program. We recently opened a small office at:
Unit A5-100 Crimea Street
Guelph ON N1H 2Y6

The Guelph Stroke Survivor Peer Support luncheons (bring your own brown bag) are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from September through June, at 12 noon at Harcourt Memorial United Church, located at 87 Dean Avenue, Guelph. We appreciate their support as the facility is wheelchair accessible and has a large parking lot.
The North Wellington Chapter holds its Peer Support meetings on the last Tuesday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 am at Sharon Village Care Homes, 465 Dublin St., in Mount Forest.
Please join us to meet people who are thriving in the aftermath of a stroke. Together we discuss stroke related topics and issues, hear relevant guest speakers, or celebrate the success of members’ ongoing recoveries (including your own). We are a friendly group here to give support to others who live with the effects of stroke.
As you’ve probably discovered, a single stroke can drastically alter more than one life. While our priority is to help survivors and caregivers, friends and family are most welcome to attend our meetings for information, encouragement and support.
